Australian Schools Rugby News : July 2009
WELCOME to our second edition of Australian Schools Rugby News. If you missed our bumper fi rst edition – it is archived and you can fi nd it on our website or click here to view. Since the last edition there has been some hectic times: The swine fl u situation threatened to stop our Division II Championships and at one stage the Combined States team selected there was not going to go to the Novotel Australian Championships. As we go to press both Championships are about to commence as originally planned. Good news. Best wishes to all for Australian selection. With the Global Economic Crisis – a lot of work has gone on to put on a luncheon to raise funds for the UK tour featured in this edition. Two grassroots regional championships were held in New South Wales and Queensland. From these future Australian players are discovered. While coming home 8th at Sanix – Prairewood High School were far from disgraced. A great experience and great ambassadors for their own community and Australia. Enjoy this edition.
